I’ve loved the dining space in our house since we first saw it over five years ago. The focal point has always been the wall over the floating cabinet that’s original to the house. Once I settled on “gather” I went in search of something large enough to make a statement. It was actually very difficult to find because I loved the word “gather” before it was trendy. But anyhoo... this is our only dining space in the house but also serves as our main homeschool area. We had a neighbor gift us an old whiteboard that we loved and on the opposite wall, I had cork boards and “school” stuff. It’s been that way pretty much the entire time we’ve owned the house but I was definitely ready for a change. As much as I liked the school aspect of the room, it’s always been a bit of a personal annoyance to be eating in what resembled a school-room. So, I finally bit the bullet and took everything off the walls. I filled the 7,000 nail and tack holes and gave it a fresh coat of white paint! If you didn’t know, I love the color white. I’d probably have more white in our home if I didn’t mind the upkeep with a family of seven. So, all of this to say, our room is pretty much done for our 20-21 school year!!!
